FÖRKLÄDE | SEGEL GRÅ

Midjeförkläde i 100 % bomull, bredd 75 cm och höjd 70 cm. En hängare i höfthöjd för t.ex. handduk. Långa svarta knytband som räcker för att knyta även på framsidan. Dekorsöm med sicksack högst upp på förklädet.

Historiskt sett har segel varit livsviktiga i skärgården. Ett segel använder vindens energi så att en båt kan förflyttas. Funktionen liknar den hos en flygplansvinge; när vinden strömmar runt seglet skapas ett undertryck på läsidan (baksidan). Detta ger båten en skjuts framåt. Ändrar man seglets vinkel mot vinden ändrar båten riktning.

Tyget är ÖKO-TEX-märkt kraftigt bomullstyg (halvpanama) och tryckt på miljövänligt sätt i Karlstad vid Vänerns strand. Förklädet är sydd av Maud i hennes syateljé på Ljusterö i Stockholms skärgård. Maskintvätt 60 grader men tänk på miljön och tvätta inte varmare än du behöver.

APRON | SAIL GREY. Apron made from 100 % cotton, size approximately 75 x 70 centimetres. Includes a strap at hip-height to hang a tea towel. Black straps that are long enough to tie at the front.

Historically, sails have been essential to survival in the archipelago. A sail harnesses energy from the wind and transforms that energy into motion. Its function is similar to the wing of an aeroplane, wind currents around the sail create lift on the lee side which drives the boat through the water. Adjusting the angle of the sail towards the wind alters the direction of the boat.

The fabric is OEKO-TEX certified strong cotton (half Panama), and is printed using an eco-friendly process in Karlstad, by lake Vänern. The apron is sewn by Maud in her studio at Ljusterö in the Stockholm archipelago. Machine washable in 60 degrees, but spare a thought for the environment and do not wash warmer than required.
